Moonshine SS1000 – 1000 Mile Motorcycle Trip

There is a club, association, bunch of crazies – whatever you want to call it – group of people who like to ride motorcycles.  A long ways – I mean…really far.

They are called “Iron Butts” – the world’s toughest motorcycle riders.  They like to test themselves and their bikes for long distance endurance rides…read more on the Iron Butt website.

Brad, Rick and I have been thinking about one of the SaddleSore 1000 rides for a while…but we just never said OK.  Then our opportunity arose – it was the Moonshine SS1000.

The Moonshine Lunch Run is a “legendary” ride with the destination in Casey, IL (near Terre Haute, IN).  Let me tell you, the ride is fun – but the burgers, BBQ and pie are out of this world.

Brad ended up not being able to go – but Rick and I made the ride in 24 hours and had a good time.  Here is the map and some pictures.
